The word 道教 (Taoism the religion) is actually very commonly misunderstood by people because of the western cultural background. Religion in the west and other places in the world is not the same as Taoism. All religions in the world except Taoism starts with some god and deities and some holy people who sort of get their heaven and hell and claim to be "god" or the creator of the world or have superior power that can protect their believers etc,. It's all about a concept and then a belief and people just say "I believe" and join the club. In Taoism, this is not how it is.

Taoism is about wisdom is all I can say.

What is Dao Jiao (Taoism)?

Taoism the religion combine of 2 words, Dao 道 (Doe) and Jiao 教 (Gaau). Clearly stated and it is so clear that people even overlooked it.

Dao 道 (Doe) means to speak and it is also about things that are "non-physical", and it is a path, a way. Non-physical doesn't means it is fake or made up though. Your name is non-physical, a concept is non-physical, math is non-physical, do you get it? Wisdom is also non-physical. What's physical is the book that shows the equation, the letters that combines into words, etc,.

The word Jiao 教 (Gaau) means to teach, and teaching. There is no end to teaching because the teacher always keeps learning. Therefore the learning of Taoism never ends because it is so massive.

In conclusion, Taoism is a system of teaching that inherits the wisdom and knowledge which explains and do works around nature and our universe that cannot be even understood or explained with today's science and mathematical systems. It's about wisdom, some wisdom that was started long time ago even before human history. It's mysterious, but it will not be mysterious for those who step into the door and really start to learn from a master. Master and student - that is how you inherit the system down the lineage, not like in a classroom.

What about all these stuff in previous lessons?

All the lessons that we had gone through together in the previous chapters were to introduce you some baby-stage knowledge in Taoism only. The taichi logo, the bagwa, the hoh-toe and lok-sue, the 28 constellations, etc,. These are all baby knowledge in Taoism. It sounds like very deep and complex already, but the truth is, that is just the beginning and very basic knowledge of Taoism.

Taoism's symbol is the taichi logo. Now you may know why. Taoism is about everything in our universe. Not only limited to the small taichi (globe) but even the big taichi that goes in the solar system, and even the whole universe and beyond. We found the patterns of things and this pattern will allow you to find out more about other things that even today's science cannot show.

Bad Taoism, Good Taoism

Bad Taoism paths started in China long time ago and it is what China is left with today, tons of superstitious, evil practice, and false knowledge. It's mainly due to politics and how people want to make more money by working with the crooked kingdoms.

Good Taoism is with knowledge and wisdom, like Tin Yat Lineage. We do not do evil practice and we teach people to have wisdom and not be superstitious.
