After ordain, accept Your Taoist Name ( 道號 )

First you will be given a Taoist name which is granted to you by the two Jo Si(s) and the name will be your Taoist identity which means you are in Tin Yat Lineage as a genuine Taoist

Tin Yat Lineage Poem

天一玉皇傳, 妙法本自然, 正氣丹心運, 萬法歸先天

Tin Yat Yuk Wong Chuen, Maan Faat Boon Jee Yeen, Jing Hei Darn Sum Wun, Maan Faat Gwai Seen Tin.

Your Taoist name starts with "Tin" which is the first word! If the 2nd generation of Tin Yat Lineage accept a new students, they will have a name start with "Yat" which is the second word and so on.

Levels of a Taoist

1. Taoist - Dao Ren or Dao Shi ( 道人 / 道士 )

After acceptance of ordain, you are a Taoist in Tin Yat Lineage, which means you are a Dao Shi officially. So you will be granted a Taoist name starting with 天 Tin. (for example: Tin Yang 天陽) and to address to yourself officially you can say you are 天陽道人 Tin Yang Dao Ren, which means Tin Yang the Taoist. This is the common stage for all and you can even be in this stage for the whole life, which is just commonly how it is.

2. Taoism Priest - Faat Si ( 法師 )

This stage is to be advance with advance magic learning and it is for those enthusiast who want to get deep into the subject of Taoism magic such as exorcism. This stage is only for those who are approved by the Jo Si and you will then be learning advance Taoism magic. Your Taoist name remain the same but with a "faat" 法 replace the Tin 天 will be your "Faat Ho 法號" your Taoist priest name. You keep both names and we usually just use your first one when we communicate.

*If you became a Faat Si and you got expel from the lineage because you broke the protocols, you will recieve a formal letter of expulsion and we will have to announce it to the public and all students just to make sure you will not hold the name and position of your previous identity in our lineage and be mistaken by anyone. A Faat Si is a very serious position, we don't want frauds out the world.

3. Taoism Master - Daai Faat Si ( 大法師 )

This is a special level, only approved Taoist priest in the above level will be accepted and promoted to this stage. The student will learn professional and serious Taoism magic which require extra effort and passion. Not anybody can be in this stage, but if you are, you will be a very good Taoism Master for sure.

*If you became a Daai Faat Si and you got expel from the lineage because you broke the protocols, you will recieve a formal letter of expulsion and we will have to announce it to the public and all students just to make sure you will not hold the name and position of your previous identity in our lineage and be mistaken by anyone. A Daai Faat Si is a very serious position, we don't want frauds out the world.

4. Taoism Master and Temple Host - Chuen Yun ( 傳人 )

This stage is for those who pass the level above and want to open their own temple of Chi in Nature branch. We do encourage you to open a temple in a public location to offer another place for people to go for Chi in Nature and Tin Yat Lineage as well. While it is a good thing to have more temples open, we must also verify and ensure the quality as well. We will not approve a temple with no professional grade Taoist in-charge. Therefore, this level is to ensure the quality of the temple host and also to learn how to teach your own students and how to withdraw all their magical power if the students have gone bad. etc,.

*If a Chuen Yun is expel from the lineage, we would need to do much more than to a Daai Faat Si since they hold the name of Tin Yat and open their temple. Therefore, we will be requiring the chuen yun to close their temple immediately or change it's business nature to something else that is not related to Tin Yat Lineage. Then we will announce the letter of expulsion and declare the cut of relationship to the public in all manners including websites, blogs, forums, and so on to avoid mis-understanding.
